Barnyard 1978 in Yallingup, The Perfect Place to Stay and Dine!

Located in Yallingup, Barnyard 1978 is a unique concept that boasts a farm-to-table concept restaurant. As well as cellar door, barnstore and even eco friendly accommodation. Combining the freshest and most delicious local produce with the culinary expertise of its chefs to create an unforgettable dining experience.

Restaurant

Reflecting a quintessential Australian lifestyle and delivering a laid-back atmosphere along with world-class cuisine. The restaurant features a beautiful setting with a charming rustic decor that adds to the overall authenticity of the farm-to-table concept. They boast an expansive outdoor area. Complete with a garden, where guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The menu at Barnyard 1978 is crafted to reflect the restaurant’s philosophy of using only the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients. The chefs work closely with local farmers and producers to guarantee that only the best ingredients are used in their dishes. From fresh herbs and vegetables, to free-range meats and seafood. They offers a wide variety of culinary delights to please the palate of every guest.

Their dishes are paired with an extensive wine list, featuring some of the best wines from the Margaret River region. As well as their own straight from their vines planted in 1978 (where their name comes from). Guests can indulge in a glass of wine or two and soak up the stunning views of the vineyards from the outdoor area.

Cellar Door and Barnstore

In addition to their wonderful restaurant, visitors can also take full advantage of their cellar door and barnstore. Which offers jarred produce, breads and more. Their honey farm produces 100% real and raw honey in over seven varieties. Which are exclusively available to purchase from the barnstore making it the perfect souvenir to take home with you.

At the heart of everything they do is a strong focus on sustainable ecology and agriculture. So you can enjoy your meal knowing it’s good for your tastebuds and the environment. Their suppliers care for their animals used in farming and use natural products so that the environment they operate on is not adversely affected. Barnyard also use sustainable and renewable energy technology where-ever possible. This includes solar and water conservation technologies.

Barn Hives

Looking to stay on the property? The eco-friendly pods invite you to experience nature, restaurant and surroundings, in the premium way while leaving minimum print to the Earth. The name comes from Barnyard Bees farm. Making a reference to the conservation tourism concept which Barnyard Farm is all about. 

Barn Hives were constructed with maximum care for the environment. The shape of the pods provides a wonderful top view of the surroundings, giving you an even closer experience of living in the hive proximity with nature. With special attention paid to sunlight and cross-ventilation to achieve comfort. Water is collected from rainfall, with connecting the solar panels on the roof of you balcony to the heat pump. Supplying you with hot water for your shower. Designed exclusively for adults, you’ll have to leave the kiddos at home, with stays starting from $285 a night.
