But don’t worry you don’t need a skippers ticket, you just need to be over 20 years old. Dogs are more than welcome on board, they even provide a water bowl for your thirsty fluffy sailors.

Wookie Dogs Adventure Playground

How does giving your dog the freedom they deserve, whilst you relax and enjoy the beautiful Swan Valley sound? Well that’s exactly what the wonderful people behind Wookie Dogs provide! The stunning six acre property offers private hire for dogs who wish to explore the beautiful property without the risk of other dogs. Their Run Free program allows your pets to run free, regardless of breed, size or nature in their fully enclosed property. Giving every dog including anxious, anti social or reactive dogs the opportunity to run free! The family run business started in 2018 out of a passion for man (everyone’s) best friend. Simply book a spot on their website and take your dog along for a day full of sniffing, running through paddocks and splashing through waterways. Bookings start at $50 for up to two dogs per hour with an additional fee of $5 for every additional dog thereafter. Make sure you book in advance, as they are very popular!

Quinns Rocks Dog Beach

We are lucky to live in a place that is home to many dog friendly beaches, including Quinns Dog Beach in Quinns Rocks. Facing South-West the beach is protected from tumultuous waves by the natural offshore reefs. Meaning the waters remain relatively calm making it a perfect place for dogs to paddle. With plenty of parking close by it’s the perfect place to let your dog off lead to run along the sand, get their paws wet and maybe even dig a hole or two!

Carine Regional Open Space

Looking for a new park for your dog to stretch their legs and make some new friends? Then check out the dog park at Carine Regional Open Space! Well known for being one of the best in Perth, it’s easy to see why. You’ll find this spot in Carine near the Okely Road car park. The space provides a secure fenced in setting for dogs and their owners to socialise. With amenities such as drink fountains, a sand pit and agility equipment. As well as outdoor seating for you to relax on whilst the dogs play. Pups can be exercised off lead on the reserve, both inside and outside of the fenced dog park, however they must be under control at all times.

Pups on SUPs

Ready to be the coolest dog owner in the world? Well say what’s SUP to Pups on SUPs! Located in Bassendean. These awesome folks give you the opportunity to try out stand up paddle boarding (SUP) with your furry best friend. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a complete beginner they welcome everyone. Oh and don’t worry kneeling is also an option! They provide informal sessions with a qualified SUP instructor who will assist you and your dog on the paddle board in a safe and friendly environment. If you’re ready to give it a go, check out their timetable to see when they’re running their sessions. They usually run on Sunday mornings during the warmer seasons in Sandy Beach Reserve. You bring the pup and they’ll supply the SUP! Prices start at $30 per hour.

Whiteman Dog Park

Whilst dogs must be kept on a lead at all times within Whiteman Park, they’re free to be off lead in the 2.5 hectare Dog Park on the property. You’ll find this gem in the Mussel Pool East precinct at car park 23. The vast area is completely fenced off and offers plenty of shade. As well as featuring double gated entry/exit points, allowing the safe leashing/unleashing of your dog. Your four legged friend can even have a go on an obstacle course designed especially in colours that dogs can see! The park also has multiple water points and over 500 metre of walk path within the enclosure. If your pup is on the smaller side, rest assured as under 10 kg are also catered for. With a smaller, separate enclosure just for them. Whiteman Dog Park is open from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM daily and is free to use!

Fur Kidz Resort Swimming Pool

Your dog deserves a pool day as much as the rest of us! So treat them to a splish splash at Perth’s only heated, indoor swimming pools for dogs! Located in Canning Vale, Fur Kidz Resort is ideal for pups needing rehabilitation, gentle exercise or who just want to have fun! The wonderful team behind the facility are focused on providing a place where people can afford to swim their dogs in a safe environment. Whilst they don’t provide assistance for you during your dogs swim, they do provide help with long leads and flotation devices. The pool is heated to a minimum of 28 degrees year round, with an inbuilt ramp as well as stairs. As well as a warm water rinse off area for after your dogs swim and free to use Ezy Dog flotation devices for new swimmers! The pool is available to book and is open at 9 AM everyday apart from Wednesdays. Sessions can be booked via their website, starting from $20 for 30 minutes.

Aveley Dog Park

Another favourite of Perth dog owners is Aveley Dog Park in Ellenbrook. This popular grassy dog park is divided into two sections. One for small dogs (under 10kg) and one for those on the larger side, to ensure every pup can play safely! Both enclosed areas boast high fencing, agility courses and even doggy drink fountains with cute paw prints on them. Watch your dog make friends and run freely as you watch from the benches and socialise with other dog parents!

Paddock Play

Boasting over 100 five star reviews, Paddock Play is the taste of off lead freedom every dog in Perth deserves! We’re talking 5.5 acres of paddock in the Swan Valley that you can rent out all to yourself. Making it perfect for all dogs no matter their temperament. The property includes an over two acre locked/fenced paddock, plenty of hills and a fun water area for your four legged friend to explore. Paddock Play is open on weekends and every second Friday. However, they do close during the hot summer months due to wildlife that can be dangerous to your pup! You can book a spot for you and your furry best friend here, for $20 per hour for up to two dogs.

Inglewood Dog Park

Mount Lawley is home to this awesome spot for Perth dogs! Inglewood Dog Park is a fenced off doggy haven. Complete with sand pits, grassy areas, water bowls, agility ramps and even jumping logs. What makes it even better? On weekdays the nearby Chatterbox Cafe serves up coffee and snacks for you to enjoy whilst your dog gets some exercise. There’s even a shaded gazebo for you to sit back, sip coffee and watch your dog get their zoomies out. You’ll find this doggy hotspot at Inglewood Oval, next to the Edith Cowan University (ECU) Lawn Bowls club.

Started in 2015 by a mother and son team dedicated to bringing the idea of a New Orleans cafe to Perth. Their seasonal menu offers up tasty options, including a nice selection of bagels. We know for sure you’ve definitely heard of Mount Lawley royalty, Bagel O’s Delicatessen. For good reason too! They’re known for their impressive array of bagel options, everything from peanut butter & jelly to a parmi. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 8 AM to 2 PM, their bagels are baked fresh daily and can be ordered online to avoid the lines out the door they often have. Since you’ll be spoilt for choice when you visit, we recommend their P.E.C brekkie bagel filled with house smoked pastrami, plain cream cheese, a soft egg and American cheese on a toasted bagel. Keep an eye out on their socials, as we’ve heard whispers they’re opening up shop in Subiaco soon!

Lulu’s Cafe Rockingham

This family owned cafe is oh so popular amongst locals for all the right reasons! Lulu’s Cafe on the Rockingham Foreshore is open everyday bright and early from 6 AM. Gaze out upon the ocean as you chow down on delicious bagels, coffee, freshly squeezed juices and sweet treats. We recommend trying out their open faced salmon bagel, the perfect fresh and healthy option. Oh and did we mention Lulu’s is pet friendly? So feel free to bring along your four legged friend!

Deli Gabe

Looking for a spot to soak up positive vibes during your lunch break or a new tasty brunch spot? Check out Deli Gabe, located on Murray Street in Perth’s CBD. Created by Alex (not Gabe), who has been working as a chef for the last 15 years in Sydney and Perth. The cafe/deli consistently serves up delightful coffee and scrumptious toasties & bagels, seven days a week. With special monthly bagels and menu staples such as the caprese bagel, blueberry cream cheese bagel and chicken caesar bagel, there’s something for everyone. El Cabro Coffee

Located in Claremont, El Cabro Coffee is open everyday until 2 PM! This cosy spot is popular amongst locals for their delicious coffee, sweet treats and of course their bagel selection. They serve up one of the best smoked salmon bagels around, with a lightly toasted fresh bagel with plain cream cheese, dill, capers, sprouts and premium Tasmanian smoked salmon. Or if you’re in the mood for something sweet take a bite of their blueberry bagel, yum!

The Holy Bagel Co.

If you’re looking to stock up on bagels to make your own creations at home, then this is the spot for you! The Holy Bagel Co is Perth’s premier bagel wholesaler. Specialising in boiled bagels and flavoured cream cheese. Okay this spot may not be in Perth, but hear us out! Nestled in the heart of Bunbury, Bagel Nation needs to be on your “must visit” list for your next trip down south. Boasting the largest bagel menu in the Southern Hemisphere, you’re guaranteed to find a flavour that suits your taste buds! What’s even better? They help raise awareness and fund ALS cure research after their uncle was diagnosed. Yup, we’re talking delicious bagels with a cause! They also support local, so most of their ingredients are grown on Aussie farms by Aussie farmers. Make their bagels fresh everyday, have gluten free alternatives and vegetarian/vegan options. Want to try their bagels? Bagel Nation is open Wednesday to Monday (closed on Tuesdays) from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Whistlepipe Gully

A reasonably easy 3.5km return walk in Mundy Regional Park. This dog-friendly walking trail follows along Whistlepipe Gully in the Perth Hills. Walking alongside the narrow river and small waterfalls of a granite formation with views over the coastal plain to Perth. You’ll even spot the remains of a house from the 60’s! Keep your eye out for kangaroos and an ear out for frogs croaking after the rain. We recommend taking along a picnic for you and your four legged friend, as there are lots of lovely spots to sit by the creek. The trail is open year-round, but the best time to visit is between June and September when the creeks are flowing. Or if you’re keen to see some wildflowers, take the hike from September to November as they bloom in Spring. Take along your dog but remember to keep them on a leash.

Bells Rapids

Taking the title for the most popular trail on our list, it’s made even better by bringing along your dog (on leash)! With two choices depending on how ambitious you’re feeling. Cross the bridge and head to your left for an easy 2.5km return walk. Or turn right and follow the more challenging Goat Walk over the hill. There are some steep rocky climbs along the way, however it is a relatively easy hike. Oh and make sure you keep your eye out for the cheeky buttocks boulder! Open year-round, with rushing waters in the Winter and wildflowers in the Spring. Bells Rapids has been a favourite picnic location in the Perth Hills for families and pooches for many years.

1872 Railway Heritage Trail

Located on a section of the old timber tramway between Jarrahdale and Rockingham’s jetty, this dog-friendly walking trail in Perth is moderately challenging. The 1872 Heritage Railway Trail is a scenic self guided 9.8km return walk where dogs on lead are allowed. Enjoy wildlife spotting kangaroos and birds, as you follow the disused railway. The best times to take this walk with your furry friend are April through October.

Ranford Pool Walk Trail

The locals have been keeping this one quiet for years, but we’re going to let you in on the Ranford Pool secret. This is one of the most beautiful spots in the Peel Region of WA to take your dog for a picnic and an easy 4km return walk. Following the Hotham River to historic Ranford Pool, keep an eye out for Long Donkey Farm as you enjoy your hike. Winding through paperbark tree forests, the first part of the walk is fully paved, which changes to a narrow trail after you cross the bridge. If you’re keen for more adventuring, you can even fish, canoe and swim in the pool!

Ellis Brook Valley

With the choice of four walking trails that cater for all fitness levels, The Ellis Brook Valley in Banyowla Regional Park is perfect for everyone and every dog (on leash)! Located on the edge of Perth city on the Darling Scarp, the gorgeous Sixty Foot Falls Trail is the hardest of the four trails and features spectacular views of the city. Which can be walked in either direction, we recommend anti-clockwise to get the city’s views as you go uphill. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. However, late Winter promises plenty of water falling and Spring produces a selection of wildflowers.

Noble Falls Walk Trail

If you’re keen to let you well controlled dog off leash, this is the place to let them run! This easy 3.6km walk along the Wooroloo Brook in Gidgegannup takes just under an hour to complete and is a popular place for birding and hiking! Wildflowers bloom in the Spring, with the falls showing off in Winter after heavy rain. After your exercise make use of the picnic area and free BBQs to enjoy a treat or two with your four-legged friend.

Trigg Bushland Reserve

After a coastal walk? Check out Trigg Bushland Reserve. Made up of a small network of dog friendly walking trails. The loop is a 3.4km bush track, with some short but steep hills usually taking under an hour to complete. Take a break on the shady seat at the top South-West corner of the trail. Where you can take in the views of the ocean and Rottnest Island in the distance. This trail is great to visit anytime of the year, with well controlled dogs allowed off lead.

King Jarrah Circuit

If you’re heading down south and bringing the dog along, check out this challenging walking trail for a bit of adventure! Located in Southern Dwellingup, the King Jarrah Circuit is a whopping 17.4km loop. Taking an average of 5 hours to complete, this is a popular area for backpacking and camping. We’d recommend visiting from March to November, to enjoy the lush forest to its fullest. Like a lot of the trails on our list, you can go either direction on the walking trail and your dog can be let off-leash in some areas.

Zamia Trail

Ah, the hidden gem of City Beach. The Zamia Trail located within Bold Park is a coastal bushland walking trail featuring views of both the ocean and the city. Take your dog for a leashed walk along the trail and enjoy the huge array of native flora and fauna, including wildflowers in the spring. If you’re lucky you can even spot possums and bats at dusk! Leave yourself around 1.5 hours to complete the 5.3km loop, which is open year-round.

Rotary South Bank River Trail

Another down south secret, this 2.1km loop trail is located near Margaret River. Considered an easy route taking around 30 minutes to complete, the trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit at anytime. Dogs are of course welcome and may be off-leash in some areas!

Hi Voltage

Danger danger, Hi Voltage (sorry, couldn’t resist that opportunity)! This is WA’s largest indoor go kart circuit covering over 3000 square metres and 350 metres of length. The Bringing you a variety of corners and high-speed sections to challenge all driver levels. Choose three different electric kart types: single adult kart, duo kart or junior kart to put your skills to the test. Whilst you’re there check out their glow in the dark mini golf course, indoor play area for little ones and stop by the bar and cafe for a bevvy and snack after all the fun!

Hi Voltage is located in Belmont and open daily from 9:30 AM until 10 PM, so you can stay and play all day and night! Bookings can be made through their website, with prices starting from $36 for go karting (one race). They even offer up a great Friday night date special, which includes go karting, mini golf, a pizza and drinks for just $99.

The Kart Centre

The Kart Centre in Canning Vale features an indoor track that is over 230 metres, featuring 12 technical corners and a barrier system that safely absorbs impact. The circuit has been designed by racers, for racers. Testing drivers of all levels, offering a variety of high-speed sections to challenge your go karting skills! The user friendly circuit for all skill levels, offers two types of karts. Ride in either a single kart by yourself, or a double kart with someone else. These electric karts can reach speeds up to 50 kph! Want to experience even more? The Kart Centre also houses the first interactive axe throwing experience in perth and an interactive cricket centre!

Open everyday from 10 AM until 10 PM, with prices starting from $37.50 per person (10 minute race). You can book through their website here.

Mega Fast Karts

Located in Wanneroo, Mega Fast Karts is the place to go if you want to follow in the footsteps of some great drivers! This is the only outdoor and non-electric go karting venue on our list, for those who really want to feel the rush! Get real experience on a real 840 metre track, at the same place that Formula One driver Daniel Ricciardo has raced. Who knows, maybe this will kickstart your racing career or just be a great activity to try with your mates. Offering up three go kart types, choose from senior, junior or even dual vehicles to test your abilities in! You can even organise a grand prix with 12 people that includes practice laps, race laps, professional lap timing and of course a trophy for the winner, what a cool experience!

The price for senior and dual kart races start at $40 (10 minutes), with juniors just $35 (10 minutes). If you’re keen to organise a grand prix it’ll cost you $100 per person. Mega Fast Karts are open 6 days a week (closed on Monday’s) from 10 AM and 12 PM on Sundays. Bookings can be made through their website.

PowerPlay

Want to try your skills sliding around corners on a two level track? Look no further than PowerPlay. The perfect place for challenging your friends, family or work colleagues in powerful electric karts located in Joondalup and Bibra Lake. With ramps, a bridge and a tunnel, it will challenge even the keenest revhead! Not only that but the track is extra wide so you can slide through the corners like a pro. Keep an eye on the big screen scoreboard that records every lap and try to climb the leaderboard to get bragging rights at the end of the race! After your hot laps jump into the arcade to cool down.

Prices start from $37 per adult and $33 per child (one race of 18 laps) and they even offer a date night package perfect for a night out with your partner. Berry Bae Bowls

Perth’s first self-serve acai bar Berry Bae uses fresh locally grown produce to create their delicious bowls. Their acai comes directly from the Amazon and contains a high percentage of real acai pulp (60%), not blended with any other fruit fillers. They’re also vegan, gluten free and dairy free so more people can enjoy. You can build the bowl of your dreams in their Leederville store until 10 PM everyday!

Daisies Cottesloe

With a history dating back to the 80’s, Daisies Cottesloe is one of Perth’s most popular cafes. Known for their laid back atmosphere. This kid and dog-friendly cafe also serve up a delicious selection of acai bowls. Canteen Trigg

Canteen is a Northern suburbs beachside hotspot that has been popular since it’s opening in 2016. Oushk Palmyra

This suburban cafe is located in the heart of Palmyra. Serving up acai bowls and wholesome food with a Lebanese twist. They’re known for piling their bowls up with peanut butter, crunchy granola and even turkish delight, count me in! Oushk is open everyday apart from Monday’s for you to come try their delicious bites!

Little Cultures

Open 7 days a week until 4 PM, Little Cultures in Subiaco and Joondalup are superfood and dessert bars serving up delicious acai bowls. These handcrafted, natural and delicious bowls are here to cure all your cravings. Try out their nutella acai or yoghurt acai bowl combinations for something different, with vegan options available they cater to everyone!

Haynes Street Larder

Haynes Street Larder is a hole in the wall cafe in Kalamunda serving up healthy treats and takeaway goodies to locals everyday until 3 PM. You can even bring your four-legged friend along to enjoy a treat with you. Then find a patch of grass in the nearby Stirk Park for a picnic! We’d recommend trying out their OG, choc berry or protein acai bowls for a refreshing and vegan meal!

perch’d

Located on the Mandurah foreshore, this cute and cozy cafe is the perfect spot for brekkie or lunch. Open until 2 PM everyday, they serve up acai bowls made with top quality ingredients and a whole lot of love. Perch’d is where friends flock, full of friendly faces this dog friendly cafe is a must try!

The first of its kind in Australia, Glowing Rooms is a 3D mini golf experience just five minutes from Fremantle. Collier Park Golf

Collier Park Golf in South Perth is home to a mini golf course designed as a miniature version of a normal sized 18 hole course. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced putter, all abilities are catered for with with three flags per hole available. After playing a round enjoy a drink and snack at the cafe nearby. The first 9 holes are fully wheelchair and pram accessible for a fully inclusive experience. Tickets are cheaper on weekdays than on weekends, with adults starting at $17 and kids at $12.50.

Holey Moley

With four locations in Perth (Fremantle, Karrinyup, Northbridge & Carousel) this crazy mini golf experience is oh so popular for a reason! Putt your way through 18 pop culture themed holes. Including shark-infested waters, The Simpsons couch and much much more at Holey Moley. Three of the four venues even have an arcade, laser tag, karaoke and escape rooms on site for more fun! With bites including pizza and burgers available, as well as themed cocktails. Sip on a cocktail served in a bathtub with mini ducks as you putt around. Matagarup Mini Golf

The Western Australian inspired 18 hole course is set amongst native landscaping, sculptures and a creek with the stunning backdrop of Matagarup Bridge. Wembley Golf Course

Located in Wembley Downs this 18-hole landscaped miniature putt putt is a scaled-down version of a full-size golf course. Taking into account tee and hole placement and featuring landscaping and water features. Weave through sand traps, bridges and water features. With your choice of starter, intermediate or advanced flags at each hole at Wembley Golf Course. Open from 9 AM until 8 PM everyday, weekday prices are $17 per adult and $11 per child, with weekend prices higher.

Wanneroo Botanic Gardens

Hi Voltage

Designed and built in Canada, this glow in the dark mini golf course is a feast for the eyes! Hi Voltage consists of two 9 hole themed courses, circus and speed.
