The newest Varsity has finally opened in Cannington. Bringing with it duckpin bowling to WA for the very first time! The state-of-the-art leisure hub also features an arcade and huge indoor/outdoor dining space. As well as burgers galore, craft bears and of course the best of the best sports coverage.
About Varsity
Since its first spot in 2013 next to UWA, Varsity have been busy opening their American-style frat-house sports bar all over Perth! They are known for creating an inclusive atmosphere for kids and adults and that is evident in this new opening.
Varsity Cannington is the full package of energetic Americana for the young and young at heart with 88 beers on tap, a fabulous sports bar environment and a menu of all-time favourites. Throw in entertainment galore, an amusement arcade and duckpin bowling; you’re set for a good time.
Duckpin Bowling
So what is duckpin bowling? Well we’re glad you asked. The traditional, but little-known North American pastime is a variation of traditional tenpin bowling with a grapefruit-sized ball with no finger holes, smaller pins and you don’t need bowling shoes to play!
Varsity’s eight-lane duckpin alley is lit up with sports coverage along the back wall, so you don’t have to miss a minute of the action whilst you play; genius! Add a great burger, a pint of craft beer or a perfectly made cocktail, and you’re in for a great time out.
If bowling isn’t your thing, don’t worry the 1000 person capacity space is jam packed full of other features. Such as an arcade with over 50 games and of course a redemption store with prizes. A large alfresco area with huge outdoors screen and picnic tables, two mega screens inside and even dedicated parking.
Varsity Cannington is open Monday to Thursday from 11 AM until 10 PM, Fridays and Saturdays 10 AM til late and Sunday 10 AM until 10 PM.
