Enjoy the chilly weather this weekend at Elizabeth Quay, as it transform into a magical winter wonderland brimming with fun. Cosy @ The Quay will run from Thursday 4th of July to Sunday 7th of July. Set against the backdrop of Perth’s skyline, this free activation offers a world of winter delights! Including activities, winter treats and entertainment all within a cosy oasis. The best part? It’ll even be snowing outside!
Giant Igloo
The heart of this event is a heated Giant Igloo! Escape the chill by travelling inside the giant dome, that measures 113 square metres inside. Filled with cosy furniture, it’s the place to hang out, play games, listen to live tunes or enjoy a delicious beverage. Open from 11.00 AM until 9.00 PM each on the four days, entry is free!
Inside the giant igloo at Cosy @ The Quay you can enjoy a range of activities to help the winter weather blow past. Enjoy a drink at the licensed bar offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. We recommend trying a mulled wine or hot chocolate to warm you up! Enjoy live entertainment between 6 PM to 9 PM from local WAAPA students. Or you can soak up the music filling the air, watching the lights come to life, dancing in sync with the sound! For the kiddos a free face painting and a glitter bar will be available from 11 AM or enjoy a giant game of uno, jenga or connect 4.
Activities
Outside the Igloo the fun continues, as Elizabeth Quay’s familiar landmarks become a playground of winter delights. Keep an eye out for the winter wings and snowflake performers roving the around or take a ride on the ferris wheel. Or interact with an immersive art installation, where your fingertips become brushes. Creating illuminated artwork with light that dances and morphs. Elizabeth Quay will even make it snow! The snowy wonderland will run each day at 12 PM, 3 PM, 6 PM and 8 PM. Bring your jacket and cameras, make sure to be quick the snowflakes don’t float for long! Finish off your winter wonderland experience by roasting a marshmallow over the fire. Marshmallows and sticks will be provided free of charge for everyone to enjoy!
Winter Food
Indulge your taste buds with wintery specials from Elizabeth Quay retailers and food trucks! Gusto Gelato’s will be serving up special sticky date pudding or try Cuts n Greens Winter carvey box. Enjoy in the array food trucks from 11 AM to 9 PM each day. Including Italian cuisine from Burrata Bar and Pasta E Fagioli, Taco Daddy tacos and crème brulees from Torch My Brulee. Japanese taiyaki from Felix & French, crepes from Excuse my French or Miam Miam France, Combi Coffee for all your hot beverages or jacket potatoes from Hot Potatoes and Mama’s Kitchen.
