Perth is a vibrant city with a rich and diverse art scene, especially when it comes to street art. A way of expressing creativity, culture, and identity, as well as enhancing the urban landscape. Tucked into laneways, on walls and even high above on buildings you will find vibrant and impressive artworks by local and international artists. Take a look at some of our must-see spots around the city and have fun exploring!
Wolf Lane
This laneway is basically an outdoor gallery where you can see works by Anya Brock, Hurben, Andrew Frazer, Alexis Dias, Hyuro, Pixel Pancho, Amok, Stormie Mills, ROA and Maya Hayuk! You’ll for sure want to spend quite a bit of time here. So make sure to grab a coffee from one of the local cafes in the area.
Globe Lane, Railway Lane and 140 William
Tucked between William Street and Murray Street Mall, this hotspot features a number of eye catching murals. Including works by Phibs and Kyle Hughes-Odgers.
The Adnate Hotel
The huge Adnate hotel mural can be seen from Wolf Lane, with the actual building being located on Hay Street. Created by Australian street artist Matt Adnate the artwork shows three highly detailed faces. Which symbolise the unique cultures within the Perth community. There are bonus artworks in the car park and inside the hotel itself if you want to further explore Adnate’s impressive works.
Grand Lane
Fun characters by Timothy Rollin and incredible artworks by Hosae line this laneways walls. You can also spot other artworks on your way to this spot. Such as a dog in a funky outfit and a nature haired woman.
King Street
Booming with colour King Street features works from Daek Williams, Anya Brock and Phibs. Don’t forget to look down from the walls to spot the Fashion Hall of Fame work, showcasing WA designers.
William Street to Murray Street Mall Laneway
Paying respect to indigenous Australians the themed artwork by Jade Dolman, portrays the original Perth swamps locations prior to development. Looking on the opposite side of the laneway, you’ll find artwork by Nathan Hoyle. Whilst the back wall has been covered in a glorious work by Kyle Hughes-Odgers. A beautiful Rainbow Serpent is seen slivering across the laneway leading to Murray Street Mall.
McLean Lane
A little bit out of the way, this hidden hotspot showcases a juxtaposition between modern colourful murals and heritage advertising.
