Starting their impactful life as a boutique in Claremont (just across the street from the Claremont Quarter). Showroom-X is now better know for the multi-brand e-commerce website it has evolved into. The local showroom is still a must visit to enjoy the epitome of national design and style that prizes craftsmanship inspired by the Australian landscape and culture.
With a strong focus on women’s ready to wear, accessories and even art for the home, the online and in-store boutique showcases Australian talent at it’s finest. #WeWearAustralian
The #WeWearAustralian campaign is an initiative founded by Showroom-X in 2020. As a response to the huge impact Covid-19 had on the Australian fashion industry. Starting out as a social media movement designed to highlight homegrown design and talent to encourage people to buy local. It has now evolved into so much more.
Due to the campaign $1.7 million in retail sales were generated during 2020 and 2021 amongst the Australian brands involved; #WeWearAustralian has made an incredible mark on the national fashion industry in a short span of time.
2023 marked the third iteration of #WeWearAustralian. which kicked off with a campaign shot in the South West region here in WA. Featuring local models Jess Gomes and Billie-Jean Hamlet clothed in Australian designers. In May 2023, a history making debut runway show partnered with #WeWearAustralian premiered at Afterpays Australian Fashion Week (AAFW). Showcasing over 50 established and new Australian fashion designers in a see-now, buy-now format that was paired with a lookbook on the Showroom-X website.
