Subi Spritz is transporting you to Europe this Autumn for ten days and nights. From the 8th to the 17th of March, Subiaco will host more than 25 events. Which celebrate food, drinks and great company at some of the suburbs best eateries! The events consist of long lunches in the park, pop-up pasta restaurants in hidden laneways. Daily aperitivo hour, cooking workshops, European wine tastings, live music and much much more. Here are a few of the events you don’t want to miss! Laneway Spritz Fest at Bar Banter
8th and 9th of March | $27 + bf
If you’re a fan of the Aperol Spritz (we know we are) then this event at Bar Banter is for you. Spilling into the streets for a laneway party complete with food stalls and DJs. This is the perfect way to round up your friends and head down to Subi for dancing, spritz drinks specials and more.
European Inspired Afternoon Tea
10th and 17th of March | $70 + bf
Step into Bar Amelie and feast your taste buds on a sumptuous afternoon that’ll take you straight to Europe – without the expensive flight. Munch on bite-sized baguettes, exquisite pastries and decadent desserts inspired by the flavours across the world. Designed to suit both wine lovers and grazing enthusiasts. This event includes indulgent high tea snacks and a paired wine tasting. After tasting choose your favourite beverage to accompany your afternoon tea.
If you’re thinking of bringing your little food connoisseurs along, a kid-friendly menu is available. So, gather your loved ones and enjoy an afternoon where the Mediterranean comes alive on your plate.
Il Locale Pizza Masterclass
12th to 15th of March | $69 + bf
One of our favourite local pizza spots Il Locale is paying homage to the Italian staple with pizza making classes during Subi Spritz. If you want to learn how to make authentic, traditional pizzas then this hands-on demonstration is for you! The team will fill you in on their tips and tricks to help you achieve the perfect ‘crust to sauce to toppings’ ratio. A selection of plenty of toppings for you to choose from will be available, ensuring your tastes are catering for. To sweeten the experience even more, you’ll also receive a $20 voucher for Il Locale at the end of the class.
Continental Spritz & Oysters
13th and 14th of March | Free Entry
Soak up the sun alfresco style on Subi Continental’s front terrace with a spritz in one hand and a freshly shucked oyster in the other. Get ready for an afternoon of fresh seasonal Albany Rock Oysters from the pop-up oyster bar, spritz specials and plenty of drinks offerings. A DJ will be providing the tunes to set the tone for a perfect afternoon of aperitivo.
Lums Wine Battle
14th of March | $79 + bf
Wine lovers this one’s for you! If you haven’t tried Subi’s coolest wine bar, Lums then consider this your perfect opportunity to. Joining forces with Margaret River’s Marq Wines, you’ll be taken on a guided tasting of six euro wines. To complement the experience the wines will be paired with Italian grazing boards lovingly prepared by the Lums team.
Progressive Lunch Odyssey
15th of March | $150 + bf
This event is the perfect way to introduce yourself to the culinary delights that Subiaco has on offer! Embark on a walking adventure throughout Subi with carefully crafted food and wine pairings across four of Subi’s best venues. Trying a food course with a beverage pairing at each venue. Juanitas, Bar Amelie, Dilly Dally and Lums will be serving up the best they have on offer to delight your senses. From bold bites to classy creations, this is a foodies dream come true.
WA Truffle Honey Burrata Masterclass

Saved the best event for the last day? We think so! Award-winning Chef Caleb Azuka of CALEB is hosting a masterclass in making one of Italy’s favourite exports, creamy burrata cheese at his restaurant. Sip on a glass of sparkling on arrival and sip your way through the afternoon as you learn how to craft burrata by hand. Enhance the burrata with delicious Western Australian truffle honey, as you learn new techniques and taste your efforts afterward with Chef Caleb’s house-made focaccia to accompany your new creations.
