Swings & Roundabouts Unveils New Cellar Door and Wine Experiences!

  • November 8, 2023

If you’ve ever been to the stunning Margaret River Region, you’ve probably heard of or even visited the ever popular winery Swings & Roundabouts. Well it’s time to give it a revisit or pop in for the first time. They’ve just swung open their giant timber doors to reveal a stylish new cellar door at their Yallingup venue.

The new cellar door is situated in a dedicated tasting room. Providing an improved wine tasting experience with Swings’ signature warmth and character.  Its premium wine offering continues to grow with a recent acquisition of Brash Road Vineyard. A 24-year-old vineyard on 18 hectares on Naturaliste Ridge in the Yallingup Hills. And a new visitor experience, Swings Sensory Sips, has just launched.

Experiences

Alongside the new build Swings welcomes three new wine loving experiences. Aptly named Swing off the Beaten Track, Swings Sensory Sips and Swings Backyard Stories.

For those seeking a bit more adventure with their wine, Swing off the Beaten Track will be right up your alley or dirt road in this case. An intimate food and wine experience that will see you buckled in a pimped out Land Rover Defender. Where you’ll first be driven through the Yallingup vineyard for a tasting and then to a secret off road coastal spot or a gourmet picnic style feast! This epic adventure runs Saturdays and Sundays from 2:30 – 4:30 PM, costs $150.00 per person and is exclusively for four people only. Bookings are essential and can be made through their website.

The second of the three is a carefully created wine experience revealing the impact of using the right glassware to enhance the characteristics of specific wine varieties. Sniff, swirl, sip and savour Swings’ hero wines from its top tier Backyard Stories range in Plumm glassware. This experience will only set you back $25 per person. And the cost is redeemable for Plumm glassware and Swings & Roundabouts wine purchases. These is easily booked online and is available daily at 10am and 2pm.

Swings Backyard Stories

Looking for a more casual vibe? Swings Backyard Stories will be your pick. Swings & Roundabouts are known for their relaxed approach and this experience embodies that sentiment! Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of their wonderful cellar door staff members who will accompany you to their vineyard for a tour and education on their 40 year old vines. Of course you’ll enjoy glass of their well sparkling chardonnay. Whilst taking in the breathtaking views before you. After a short stroll back their main lawn area you will be seated on swing seats amongst gum trees with even more optimum views. Where a swings-style shared grazing feast will follow accompanied by a selection their wines. This at ease experience is $80 per person, offers vegan and vegetarian options and can be booked here.
